This lawyer turned designer is one of Nigerian fashion designers who has broken the barriers of gender restriction and a powerful force to reckon with in the fashion industry.

A lawyer by profession, a fashion designer by passion, Toju Foyeh, whose full name is Toluwaloju Olowofoyeku, studied law at the University of Reading and obtained her LLM from the University of Manchester. After that, she attended fashion school in Milan to pursue her love for the game.

A proud Nigerian, Toju came into the Nigerian fashion scene in 2011 when she launched her debut collection at the Arise Fashion Week, Lagos in December of that year and she credits Tiwa Savage, whom had returned to Nigeria around the same time with her, for her catapult to popularity as the singer wore her designs. In 2012, she won the Future Awards Designer of the Year.

This pace setter and goal getter has fast become one of the favorites for many celebrities, fashionistas and socialite including Osas Ajibade, Toke Makinwa among others. . This is no surprise as she describes the Toju Foyeh woman as bold, daring and fun.
